AAVMC Distinguished Veterinary Educator Awards, Presented by Zoetis
The AAVMC Distinguished Veterinary Educator Awards honor excellence in veterinary medical education through two national recognitions: the Career Achievement Award and the Emerging Leader Award. Open to educators at AAVMC member institutions, each school may nominate one individual for one of the two awards each year. The Career Achievement Award celebrates exemplary leadership and lasting impact in veterinary education, recognizing individuals whose educational accomplishments, innovations, scholarship, and service have influenced the profession beyond their own institution. The Emerging Leader Award honors talented educators with at least five years of teaching experience who have significantly contributed to their institution’s educational mission and show strong potential for expanded leadership and influence in the field. Eligibility is limited to educators at AAVMC college or school member institutions. In any given year, each AAVMC member institution may make a nomination for only one of the two awards.
